Principled flash mobs
After 21 years with the Sunnyvale School District, Ellis Elementary School principal Eric Panosian got a special send-off on June 3. During a special assembly, the students and staff performed a surprise flash mob dance, and Panosian was invited to sign a steel beam that will be incorporated into the construction of a new two-story classroom building at Ellis Elementary. School staff members and students were also able to sign the beam. Ellis is the second school in the district to have a two-story classroom, and is currently undergoing an entire campus modernization.
Panosian had served as Ellis’ principal since 2012, and as principal at Bishop Elementary School for seven years before that. Prior to that assignment, he served as assistant principal at Bishop and as interim principal at Fairwood Elementary School. He has been with Sunnyvale School District since 2001.
