OAKLAND — An 18-year-old woman reported missing earlier this month was found dead several days later in Alameda, authorities said.
In a statement Wednesday afternoon, police said her body had been found June 20 by Alameda police.
An Alameda County Sheriff’s Office coroner’s bureau representative said Wednesday that Hunt’s body had been found in a harbor near the 500 block of Wind River Way.
An Alameda Police Department spokesperson did not immediately respond Wednesday evening to a request for comment about the status of any investigation into Hunt’s death.
Oakland police initially said June 16 that Hunt was at risk and had last been seen around 8 pm June 14 in the 3800 block of Market Street, and described her physical characteristics before asking that anyone with information call the department’s missing persons unit at 510-238 -3641.
Thank you to our community and media partners, Zoe Hunt is no longer a #Missing Person.
